Quick answer

A full body massage is hands-on work across the back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs and feet, done with oil while you stay draped under a sheet the whole time. At Lulu Massage & Spa it comes in five lengths — 30 minutes for $50, 45 minutes for $60, 60 minutes for $70, 90 minutes for $100 and 120 minutes for $140 — and the price is identical whether you ask for light relaxation work or firm, focused pressure. We are open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM at 11808 Barker Cypress Rd, Ste D, at the Queenston Blvd light, 0.4 miles south of the US-290 feeder.

What happens in the room and what you should say out loud.

A therapist's flat palms working across a client's upper back, with a white orchid on a shelf and sunlight coming through the window

You are shown into a room, the therapist steps out, and you undress to whatever level you are comfortable with and get face down under the sheet. Texas rules require draping for the entire session: only the area being worked is uncovered, and it is covered again before the therapist moves on. That part is not negotiable.

A full body massage here usually opens at the back and shoulders, because that is where most people are carrying the day, then works down through the hips, legs and feet. You turn over, and it finishes with the arms, the neck and the ridge at the base of the skull. Oil, a warm room, low light.

Say something about the pressure

The most common thing people tell us on the way out is that they wished it had been firmer, and that they did not say so at the time. Ask. Two minutes in is the right moment, not fifty. Your therapist cannot feel what you feel, and a polite silence costs you most of the hour you just paid for.

  1. At the start, name the one area that actually bothers you — right shoulder blade, low back, calves after a loop of the Riata Ranch trails. That is where the extra minutes go.
  2. Two or three minutes into the back, say lighter or firmer. One word is enough, and you can change your mind again at minute 40.
  3. If pressure tips over into bracing or holding your breath, say so immediately. Work you have to tense against is doing less, not more.

Tell us beforehand about recent surgery, a fracture in the last year, blood thinners, pregnancy or an area that has gone numb. It changes how we work, and once in a while it means we ask you to check with your doctor before we start.

Five lengths, and who each one is honestly for.

Thirty minutes is not a short full body massage. It is a targeted reset — neck, shoulders and upper back, or the legs and feet, but not both and not everything. At $50 it is what people book on a Tuesday between school pickup and a game at the Berry Center, 3.2 miles south down Barker Cypress. Pick one region and say which.

Forty-five minutes at $60 covers the whole body at a brisk pace, or one region done properly with time left over. Sixty minutes at $70 is the default and the length most people book. Ninety minutes at $100 is the one to pick if you sit in traffic twice a day: the mean one-way commute in ZIP 77433 is 36.1 minutes, and 34.7% of commuters here travel 45 minutes or more each way. Half an hour on the table is not much time to cover that much sitting.

Two hours at $140 exists and almost nobody books it. Worth knowing about anyway — it is the only length where a therapist can work slowly through the whole back, go down the legs, and then come back to the back a second time. If you have had a 90 and finished still wanting more, that is the one.

The neighbours we checked publish fewer steps than that. Heights Wellness Retreat at 9935 Barker Cypress, about 1.5 miles south, sells 60, 90 and 120. Nara Therapeutic Thai Massage at 9740 Barker Cypress, about 1.2 miles south, sells the same three. Spavia Fairfield, roughly 5 miles away on US-290, publishes no prices at all. The ladder is the point of this menu: you buy the amount of time the problem needs, not the amount of time a package was built around.

One price, light or firm because there is no upgrade to sell.

Two hands pressing with overlapping palms along a client's mid-back, a small green bowl resting on the table behind

Most chain spas charge extra for deep tissue, or fold it into a higher tier of membership. We have no deep tissue price because there is nothing extra to sell: it is the same therapist, the same hour and the same hands, working harder. A full body massage at $70 is $70 whether you want to fall asleep or want that knot under the right shoulder blade taken seriously.

What changes is the work, not the invoice. Firm pressure means slower strokes, more forearm, more time in one place and less territory covered — which is exactly why someone who wants deep work through the low back is usually better served by 90 minutes at $100 than by 60 minutes at $70. If the low back is the reason you are booking, what the evidence actually shows about massage and back pain is set out here, hedges and all.

Firm is not the same as painful. Being a little sore the following day is common enough. Sharp pain during the session is a signal to stop, and NCCIH notes that the rare reports of serious harm from massage cluster around unusually vigorous techniques. Nobody at this address is trying to prove a point with an elbow.

What an hour costs on this stretch of Barker Cypress.

Sixty minutes is the length every spa prices, so it is the only fair basis for a comparison. Below is what a single 60 minute massage costs within about four miles of the Queenston Blvd light, read off each business's own pages in September 2026 rather than off a directory listing.

We are not the cheapest hour in Cypress and will not say we are — Cloud 9 Foot Spa publishes $65, five dollars under us. The verified 60 minute range on this side of town runs roughly $65 to $130, and most of the market sits between $79.99 and $130.

The comparison worth making is narrower, and it holds up. Our regular walk-in hour for a full body massage costs the same $70 that Massage Envy members pay for an additional session, and five cents more than Hand & Stone's member rate of $69.95 — with no membership, no contract, no monthly fee and no first-visit-only asterisk. Chain pricing moves, so check theirs before you decide. Our whole menu sits on the pricing page.

What the research says and what it does not.

About 1 in 9 American adults had a massage in the past year — 10.9% in 2022, more than double the 4.8% recorded in 2002. That is a lot of people voting with $70, and it is not the same thing as proof. The honest summary of the evidence is narrower than most spa websites let on.

A 2015 Cochrane review pooled 25 studies and 3,096 patients on massage for low-back pain. People reported less pain shortly after treatment, but the studies were low quality and the reviewers said they had very little confidence massage is an effective treatment. NCCIH calls that evidence weak. A 2011 trial of 401 adults found small benefits on function still measurable at 52 weeks, and found structural massage was no better than plain relaxation massage.

One result is worth knowing before you choose a length. A 2014 trial of 228 people with chronic neck pain found 30 minute sessions were no better than a wait list, while 60 minute massages given two or three times a week roughly tripled to quintupled the odds of a meaningful improvement. Dose appears to matter more than technique, which is an argument for the hour over the half hour if something has been bothering you for months.

What we can say plainly: a full body massage is an hour in which nothing is asked of you, and many people find that alone worth the price. What we cannot say is that we treat anything. Texas puts the diagnosis and treatment of illness outside the scope of massage therapy, so if you have new, severe or unexplained pain, see a doctor first and book the massage after that.

— Questions

Asked & answered.

How much is a full body massage in Cypress, TX?

A full body massage at Lulu Massage & Spa is priced by length: $50 for 30 minutes, $60 for 45, $70 for 60, $100 for 90 and $140 for 120 minutes. Those are the same for everybody, first visit or fiftieth. Fresha shows lower figures on some slots because paying online in advance takes up to 10% off, but the list price for the hour is exactly $70.

Do you charge extra for deep tissue pressure?

No. There is one price per length and the pressure is whatever you ask for. Firm work is slower and covers less ground in the same time, so if you want deep work through the low back, 90 minutes at $100 tends to serve you better than 60 minutes at $70. The rate does not change either way, and there is nothing to join first.

Is 30 minutes long enough for a full body massage?

Not for the whole body, and we would rather say so than sell it that way. Thirty minutes at $50 is a targeted reset for one region — neck and shoulders, or legs and feet. A 2014 trial of 228 people with chronic neck pain found 30 minute sessions were no better than a wait list, while 60 minute sessions did considerably better. For something long-standing, book the hour.

What do I wear, and how much do I have to undress?

You undress to your own comfort level and get under the sheet while the therapist is out of the room. Texas rules require draping for the whole session, so only the area being worked is uncovered and it is covered again before we move on. Plenty of people keep their underwear on. Nobody will comment either way.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Both work. We are open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM and can often take a walk-in, though the 6 PM to 8 PM window on a Friday or Saturday fills first. Calling or texting (713) 875-9198 before you drive over saves you the trip. Same-day options are covered on our walk-in page.

How often should I book a full body massage?

It depends what you want from it. For general stress, once a month is where most regulars land. For something that has been nagging for months, the research on frequency points higher — the neck-pain trial that showed the clearest benefit used two or three 60 minute sessions a week. There is no membership here, so the frequency is entirely yours to set.

How do I get there from Towne Lake or Bridgeland?

We are at 11808 Barker Cypress Rd, Ste D, at the Queenston Blvd light, 0.4 miles south of the US-290 feeder, with the Walgreens at 11803 directly across the street. Off-peak with no traffic it is about 5 minutes from Towne Lake, 5 from Coles Crossing, 6 from Bridgeland and 8 from Fairfield. Add a quarter to a half again at weekday rush hour.
