Massage Open Late in Cypress and every Sunday evening.

Open late is easy to say and easy to check, so here is the check. The mean one-way commute in ZIP 77433 is 36.1 minutes, 34.7% of Cy-Fair commuters spend 45 minutes or more each way, and we take the last hour of the day at 7 PM.

Quick answer

A massage open late is any appointment that starts after most Cypress spas have stopped taking clients, which in practice means after 6 PM. Lulu Massage & Spa is open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM, Sunday included, so the last 60 minute massage starts at 7 PM and the last 30 minute massage starts at 7:30 PM. An hour is $70 and 90 minutes is $100, and the price at 7:15 PM is the price at 10:15 AM. We are at 11808 Barker Cypress Rd, Ste D, at the Queenston light, 0.36 miles south of the US-290 feeder road.

What open late actually means on this stretch of Barker Cypress.

Six massage and spa businesses within about five miles of the Queenston light publish their hours, so here is the whole picture rather than our half of it. We close at 8 PM every day of the week, Sunday included. Two of the six stay open later than that on a weekday, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.

Hand & Stone Cypress runs to 10 PM Monday through Friday, which is two hours past our close. Heights Wellness Retreat, a mile and a half down Barker Cypress at 9935, goes to 9 PM on weekdays. So on a Tuesday night we are not the last door open in Cypress, and anyone telling you otherwise has not looked.

Where the gap actually opens up

Sunday. Massage Envy Cypress closes at 6 PM, Spavia Fairfield closes at 6 PM and Heights Wellness Retreat closes at 6 PM. Hand & Stone stays until 8 PM and so do we. That makes a 7 PM Sunday appointment a short list — of the five body-massage rooms on this table, two are open, and one is ours.

One footnote on the table, because people find it confusing: One Spa in Suite A of this same building is a head-spa and facial business, not a body-massage rival. Same address, same parking lot, different thing entirely.

Why a 6 PM close does not work here and the commute numbers behind it.

A therapist working with both hands along a client's calf and lower leg, with a marble console holding eucalyptus stems standing behind the table

The mean one-way commute in ZIP 77433 is 36.1 minutes. That is the average — 34.7% of commuters here spend 45 minutes or more each way and 15.2% spend an hour or more. Somebody who leaves the Energy Corridor at 5:30 on a Wednesday is not walking through their own front door before 6:30, and the Energy Corridor's western edge is Barker Cypress Road.

Of the people who go somewhere, 96.2% go by car. 33,360 drive alone; 626 take transit. US-290 was rebuilt between 2011 and substantial completion around January 2021, and its outbound express lane runs 1 PM to 8 PM, which tells you plainly enough when that road is full. Staying open late here is not a marketing posture. It is arithmetic.

And about a quarter of the ZIP never leaves the house

Roughly 11,834 workers in 77433, about 23% of them, work from home. Their problem is the opposite one: the day has no edge on it. Nothing marks where work stopped. A 7 PM appointment is the thing that ends the day, and it is a large part of why the late slots fill at all.

Then there is the district. Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is the third-largest in Texas, roughly 115,000 students across 186 square miles, and by a distance the biggest employer around here. Teachers are not free at 3 PM. Twelve high schools share two stadiums, so game nights run Thursday through Saturday, and the Berry Center at 8877 Barker Cypress — 3.2 miles south, about 7 minutes off-peak — lets out right into our last hour.

Sunday evening in Cy-Fair and the short list of places open late.

Sunday at 7 PM is a specific feeling in a Cy-Fair household. The laundry is half done, somebody has just remembered a project due Monday, and a 115,000-student school district is about to start its week again. Three of the five nearest spas have been closed for an hour by then. We are open until 8 PM.

It is the easiest hour in our week to get, which is the opposite of what people assume. Saturday at 2 PM is competitive. Sunday at 7 PM is usually wide open, because almost nobody thinks to look for a massage open late on the last night of the weekend. Towne Lake is about 2 miles and 5 minutes down Barker Cypress off-peak; some of the Boardwalk crowd arrive there by boat and drive here after.

The weather is part of it too

August overnight lows in Houston sit at 75 to 77°F, so an 8 PM walk across a parking lot in summer is not the relief the hour suggests. In March, live oak dominates the pollen count and a good part of Cy-Fair is running on antihistamines and short sleep. Neither of those is something a massage treats, and we are not going to tell you it is.

Reliability matters more than any of that. Hurricane Beryl came ashore on July 8, 2024 as a Category 1 with 90 mph winds; more than 2.7 million Texas customers lost power. Nobody stays open late through that, and we will not claim we would. The everyday version is simpler — a posted 8 PM close that reads the same on all seven days.

How to make a 7 PM booking work when the door locks at 8 PM.

The 8 PM close is the close, not a hint about when the last massage might end. Work backwards from it. A 60-minute session has to start by 7 PM, a 90-minute session by 6:30 PM and the two-hour session by 6 PM — and the two-hour is the one people forget to count until they are already in the car.

  1. Book the 90 minutes if the point is to stop watching the clock. $100 instead of $70. Start it at 6:30 PM and it runs to 8 PM with nothing behind it, which is a different experience from an hour that ends while the lot is still busy.
  2. Count backwards from 8 PM, not forwards from when you leave work. Last 60-minute start 7 PM, last 30-minute start 7:30 PM. From the Energy Corridor that is 26 minutes with no traffic and meaningfully longer at 6 PM, so leave by 6:15 and a 7 PM start is comfortable.
  3. Call ahead on a Friday. Friday and Saturday evenings are the two blocks that go first, and there are a limited number of tables. (713) 875-9198 takes a call or a text, and we will tell you what is genuinely free tonight.
  4. Say what you want when you book, not on the table. Firm through the shoulders, nothing on the feet, or 30 minutes of body work and 30 of foot for $70 — all of it is easier to arrange at 6 PM on the phone than at 6:59 in the doorway.

One honest caveat about the last slot of the day

Thirty minutes is $50 and it is a real massage. But a 2014 trial of 228 people with chronic neck pain found that 30-minute sessions were no better than a wait list, while 60-minute sessions two or three times a week did substantially better. If the reason you want a massage open late is a shoulder that has been wrong since March, book the hour, and book it more than once.

Walk-ins work more often in the evening than at any other time of day, simply because fewer people plan one. It is still not a guarantee — how same-day availability actually works is set out here. The full ladder of lengths and prices lives on the full body massage page.

Getting here after dark and which feeder you need to be on.

Two made-up massage tables with neatly folded linens standing in an empty sunlit room with potted plants along the wall

We are at 11808 Barker Cypress Rd, Ste D, about 400 feet south of the Queenston Blvd light and 0.36 miles south of the US-290 frontage road. The Walgreens at 11803 is across the street, roughly 460 feet away, and the Jack in the Box at 11833 is about 440. Parking is free and directly outside the door.

Getting onto and off US-290 here is not a simple right turn. The one-way feeder system means one direction requires passing the interchange and doubling back, so decide which feeder you want before you reach Barker Cypress rather than at 40 mph in the dark. We sit on the east side of the road, just south of the freeway, in a single-story strip center with suites lettered A through K.

Off-peak drive times, with no traffic

About 5 minutes from Towne Lake and 5 from Coles Crossing, 6 from Bridgeland, 8 from Fairfield, 11 from Copperfield, 15 from Jersey Village, 26 from the Energy Corridor and 29 from Katy. Those are free-flow figures. Add roughly 25 to 50 percent to anything touching US-290 inbound at weekday peak.

Which is the quiet argument for the late slot: at 7 PM the drive to somewhere open late is the off-peak drive, not the peak one. Landmarks if you are looking for the turn — H-E-B at 24224 Northwest Freeway is 0.69 miles north, Houston Methodist Cypress is 1.0 mile away, and there is a Shell and a Chevron on the corner. More on the location and the neighborhood is here, or book a time and we will leave the light on.

Parking & arrival

Free parking at the Queenston light on Barker Cypress

We are open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM, so a lunch hour, an after-work stop and a Sunday evening all fit.

  1. Come down Barker Cypress from the 290 feeder. We are 0.4 miles south, at the Queenston Blvd light — the Walgreens at 11803 is across the street and the Jack in the Box is on the same corner.
  2. Park anywhere in the lot in front of the center. It is free and it is at the door — no meters, no garage, no gate.
  3. Walk to Suite D. The suites run A through K along the front. Come about 5 minutes early so your table time is all table time.

— Questions

Asked & answered.

How late is Lulu Massage & Spa open?

We close at 8 PM, every day of the week, Sunday included. Doors open at 10 AM, so that is a ten hour day, seven days a week. Hand & Stone Cypress is open to 10 PM Monday through Friday, so we are not the last one open on a weekday — but on Sunday only two of the five body-massage spas on our hours table are still open at 7 PM.

What is the latest massage appointment I can book?

The last 60-minute session starts at 7 PM, the last 90-minute session at 6:30 PM and the last 30-minute session at 7:30 PM. The 8 PM close is when the room is finished, not when the last person walks in. Coming from the Energy Corridor, which is 26 minutes off-peak, leave by 6:15 and a 7 PM start is comfortable.

Is there a massage open late in Cypress on Sunday?

Yes, and the list is short. Massage Envy Cypress, Spavia Fairfield and Heights Wellness Retreat all close at 6 PM on Sunday. Hand & Stone runs to 8 PM and we run to 8 PM. A 7 PM Sunday appointment is the easiest slot in our whole week to get, mostly because so few people think to look for one.

Does an evening massage cost more than a morning one?

No. A 60 minute massage is $70 at 10:15 AM and $70 at 7 PM, and 90 minutes is $100 either way. No evening surcharge, no weekend rate, no membership underneath it. To be straight about it, $70 is not the lowest hour in Cypress — Cloud 9 Foot Spa publishes a $65 Swedish hour — but it is the same number all day.

Are you the latest-closing spa in Cypress?

No. Hand & Stone Cypress publishes 9 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday, which is two hours past our close, and Heights Wellness Retreat runs to 9 PM on weekdays. What is true is that we are open until 8 PM every single day including Sunday, when three of the five nearest spas have been shut since 6 PM.

Can I walk in at 7 PM without an appointment?

Often, yes. A weeknight table late in the evening is more likely to be free than a Saturday afternoon one, because fewer people plan an evening massage. It is still not a guarantee and there are a limited number of tables. Text or call (713) 875-9198 from the Walgreens lot across the street and we will tell you in a minute. More on walk-ins here.

Will a massage that late make it harder to sleep?

Many people find the opposite, but the honest answer is that the evidence is thin. NCCIH describes the research on massage for sleep problems as limited and mixed, so nobody should promise you a good night on the strength of it. What we can say is that a 7 PM booking tends to be the last thing in someone's day, which is usually the point of booking it.
