The drive out of Bridgeland never touches US-290.
Cypress North Houston Road runs east out of Bridgeland and meets Barker Cypress 0.4 miles south of our door. Turn left, go north four tenths of a mile, and we are on the right at the Queenston light. That is the whole trip: about 3 miles, 6 minutes with no traffic, and not one foot of US-290.
Segment E of the Grand Parkway opened in December 2013 — 15.2 miles from I-10 near Katy up to US-290 near Cypress. It is cashless, so there is no booth and no coin basket, only TxTag, EZ TAG, TollTag or a bill in the mail. Getting to a massage near Bridgeland needs none of that.
